ICT
Subject Overview
​
ICT has a major role to play in the lives of our young people. Limavady High School, believe that ICT is of paramount importance to the development of all pupils in preparing them for the life in the 21st Century. Hence all pupils in Limavady High School study ICT for five years. Each pupil has discrete ICT classes on their timetable. The emphasis of the course is on developing a sound range of skills that they can transfer into other subjects.

Key Stage 3
​
Pupils in Key Stage 3 follow a planned programme of activities using a variety of computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, FrontPage and Photoshop. Pupils also use the internet and email facilities as a means of communication.
All pupils are made aware of the importance of staying safe on-line.
Pupils will also study ICT at Key Stage 4.
